Description

This is the first module for all of our chemistry degree courses. The course consists of an introduction to the fundamental concepts in chemistry. It is designed to revise and extend material encountered at pre-university level. It is divided into the following subjects: atomic structure, chemical bonding, the periodic table, spectroscopy, analysis, equilibrium and properties of organic compounds. Lectures are given in each of these areas, which are backed up by small group tutorials.
